Warriors of the Cucumber present. A WotC “Not Ours” Partner Publishing Platform production. A buslane memedia production. Produced by buslane media. Produced by Warriors of the Cucumber. Scripted by buslane media. Edited by buslane media, kinda. Written by Guinan. Prompted by buslane media. Sworn at by buslane media. Rewritten by Skynet wearing a Guinan suit. A buslane memedia game. Possibly the best game ever. People are saying it.
The title appears: Operation Orange Chicken. After the complete opening, four split-second glimpses show an illustrated gallery puzzle, a colour-mixing bowl, a pair of cat portraits and paper fragments around an unfinished autocue. The film fades to: Coming Soon to a stop near you.
Music: An Unnecessarily Major Overture — buslane memedia / Warriors of the Cucumber. Instruments: GeneralUser GS by S. Christian Collins.

A buslane memedia game.
With Warriors of the Cucumber.
The first-look film has arrived. Settle in for the full opening, then catch a few very quick glimpses of the puzzles waiting round the corner.
The game is still in alpha. For now, enjoy the film. There will be plenty of time to question your decisions later.

Even a missing page deserves a little personality. Our holding pages and error-page ideas give visitors something to smile at while the proper thing gets its shoes on.
Meet Hold Your Horses: an interactive bus stop, a horse with time to spare, and a bus dressed head to tail in Buslane Media colours.
Download and extract the ZIP into a folder on your website. Open its index.html to try it, then edit config.js for your message. Keep the accompanying files together.
For an error page, first add a <base href="/your-folder/"> element in the HTML head before the stylesheet link, using the folder where you installed it. Then configure your host’s error document to this page. Check a nested missing URL: the artwork and controls should load, and the response should still be HTTP 404.

Pretend to run decks, lights, cues, and overlays with unjustified confidence. Local audio welcome. Strobes behave.
open DJ LabA short, silent tour of the Happy Coo website: an illustrated moonlit field, Coo Control, a Highland coo jumping over the moon, and a visit to the Ayrshire Hamlet. The view then changes to the text adventure, where places, choices and story updates are written out. A keyboard-operated “Return to field” button continues the story. The same world can be explored through words and accessible controls.

A shop with a whole little world attached. We made happycoo.shop, and we’re rather proud of the place. Come for the coos. Stay for the adventure.
Designed for screen readers, with a text adventure of its own: the same choices, progress and rewards, told in words. Relying on text baked into pictures would be a cop-out.

Buslane, out in the real world. Mildly satirical, thoroughly useful products, made with a slightly unreasonable amount of care.
First off the line: DJTP — Deja Tu Paper. Premium, ultra-strong three-ply toilet tissue. A proper product with a very familiar sense of humour.

The bus has broken down. The next two stops are unfinished proofs of concept. A replacement service is not currently being promised.

One day this website will let you ride the routes in first person, seeing the stops out of the window.
For now, be happy you have a route map. This service is badly underfunded and the drivers are massively overworked.
